The MacNeal-Schwendler Corporation (MSC) announces the formation of MSC Working Knowledge, a new division that will focus on the development and sales and marketing of mechanical simulation tools for design engineers. The addition of this division doubles MSC’s addressed market to more than $1 billion. The combined resources of the former Knowledge Revolution (KR), the leader in motion software for the mid-range and educational markets, and MSC/InCheck will be led by David Baszucki, vice president and general manager. Through its partnerships with Autodesk, SolidWorks, and Unigraphics Solutions, MSC’s Working Knowledge division will provide collaborative mechanical simulation tools that leverage motion, analysis and visualization technologies to the burgeoning desktop solid modeling market and beyond.
